Rejection from Bartok - Schoenberg copyright owners

Unfortunately I didn't get the license to release Bela Bartok's "Music for Strings, Percussion and Celesta" and Arnold Schönberg's "Verklärte Nacht" adaptations for Ambigua, Act II. A big setback for me, as I had already finished work on both versions. I'll have to hold back the project and consider my options: Maybe I'll wait it out until fall, 2015, when Bartok becomes public domain and I'll have found a proper replacement for Schoenberg's "Verclarte Nacht". Meanwhile I'll take the opportunity to release some of my own instrumental compositions. This is the email I got from the copyright owners.
Dear Mr. Ginos,
Thank you for your file about Bartok’s above mentioned music. Our artistic committee listened to it and we regret to inform you that we cannot grant you permission for your arrangement for synthesizer. This version is improper for Bartok’s music.
Furthermore you have also  listed Schönberg’s “Verklärte Nacht” in your project.
We have to ask you not you use this copyrighted title, controlled by us for synthesizer arrangements.
Thank you for your understanding.
